ABOUT THE SHOW
The world can be a divisive place these days, but that’s exactly why we should all be coming together - to laugh! Whether you worship Yahweh, Allah, Jesus or Santa, we’re all just people trying to get through the winter with a little more kindness.
So what better way to celebrate the Christmas season than a comedy show featuring a Jewish woman who’s married to a Muslim woman? Co-headliners Jess Salomon and Eman El-Husseini (better known as “The El-Salomons”) are the funniest Jewish-Palestinian couple in comedy today.
Once your tree is decorated, your menorah is lit, and your Festivus pole is erected, bring your dysfunctional family to Vermont Comedy Club for some laughs!
ABOUT THE EL-SALOMONS
The El-Salomons take the motto ‘make love not war’ very personally. Jess Salomon (hilarious comic) and Eman El-Husseini (also hilarious comic) met and fell in love at a comedy club in Montreal nearly a decade ago when a friend of theirs suggested, “you two broads should kiss”.
Jess is Jewish and Eman is Palestinian (basically enemies), one is a Taurus and one is a Leo (ENEMIES!!), but they somehow make it work. It’s probably the hummus.
Now based in New York, these two accomplished comedians have been hitting stages as a duo. From the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, to the Arctic, and even to Brooklyn they have been making people laugh, spreading love, and trying not to get a divorce.

ABOUT THE EL-SALOMONS!
ABOUT EMAN EL-HUSSEINI
A Canadian, a Palestinian, a Muslim, and a lesbian walk into a bar … ladies and gentlemen, it’s just Eman El-Husseini. Yes, she’s all those catastrophic identities rolled into one — her life is a current event. From the Muslim ban to Palestinian rights and marriage equality to the ice cream truck that insists on parking in front of her building, it’s all happening and it’s happening to her, especially. Strap in and get comfortable, Eman has a lot to work through. In her decade-long comedy career, Eman has headlined across Canada, opened for Patton Oswalt, and recorded her first comedy album, “Unveiled,” which can be heard regularly on SiriusXM Radio. She currently lives in New York City, legally, thank you very much.
ABOUT JESS SALOMON
Jess Salomon is a Canadian comedian now based in New York. She was a 2017 StandUp NBC Finalist and had her stand up featured on SiriusXM’s “Raw Dog”. She’s done lots of cool festivals including Just for Laughs, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Laughing Skull Festival and she recently taped her debut album at the 2018 New York Comedy Festival with 800 Pound Gorilla Records.
Jess has written for the award-winning sketch comedy show “Baroness Von Sketch” (IFC/CBC) and her comedy has aired on television in Canada on the CBC and radio shows like SiriusXM’s “Canada Laughs” and CBC’s “LOL”.
Fun fact: before comedy Jess used to be a U.N. war crimes lawyer. The jury is still out on whether this was a good move.
