ABOUT JACKIE KASHIAN
Jackie Kashian's standup has been described as "like listening to a really racy episode of All Things Considered." Her new album “I AM NOT THE HERO OF THIS STORY" is critically acclaimed and debuted at #1 on iTunes/Amazon and #3 on Billboard. This year she again did standup on CONAN, opened for Brian Regan at Carnegie Hall, and performed on HBO’s 2 Dope Queens.
She hosts The Dork Forest. With over 4 million downloads, the show is a safe space for dork on dork dialog with Jackie interviewing anyone and everyone about what they LOVE to talk and think about.
She is also a co-host to a comedy podcast on the Nerdist Network called The Jackie and Laurie Show. www.jackiekashian.com has links to it all.
Jackie Kashian is a standup comic and is interested in whatever dorky thing you want to talk about. It's dork-on-dork dialog and the safest space in podcastville. Guests speak to their love of books, TV, movies, comic books, websites, food, wrestling, cars, action figures and bees. Tune in and enjoy.
SATURDAY, MARCH 24TH RECORDING OF
THE DORK FOREST (5PM) TO FEATURE:
Special Guest: RYAN MILLER
Ryan Matthew Miller is an American musician. He is the lead singer and guitarist for the alternative rock band, Guster. He also occasionally plays bass and piano.
ALL OTHER STANDUP SHOWS TO FEATURE:
Weekend Feature: JOYELLE JOHNSON
Joyelle brings joy to the stage. As an adult, she prides herself on being the nerd she was ashamed of growing up. Subsequently, her writing includes an extensive vocabulary (that had her shunned by lesser mortals as a child) combined with a worldly perspective (due to her inability to sit still).
Onstage, Joyelle talks about her life inspired by the storytelling greats. After growing up in the suburbs of NJ and being ridiculed for enrollment in both Band and Asthma Camp, she attended Boston College. Upon graduation she moved to LA and commenced a comedy pursuit which has taken her around the world.
