Standup comic Katie Compa has roped in some of her best comedian friends in New York City to spend a night telling jokes at Vermont Comedy Club. Come out for a carefree show, with a unique lineup of established and up-and-coming New York City comedians. It’s the perfect way to spend Hump Day in a funny and friendly atmosphere. Stay and hang out for the Vermont Comedy Club open mic, featuring local up-and-comers!

Katie Compa developed a biting sense of humor as a defense mechanism growing up an ugly duckling outside Washington, DC, and today she uses it to write and perform standup comedy. Katie cut her teeth in the Bay Area comedy scene and is based in New York City. Her debut album Hard Pass came out in September 2019, and hit #1 on the iTunes Comedy Chart. She has been featured in the San Francisco SketchFest and (don’t tell her mom) on HighTimes.com. Equal parts sassy, smart, and sarcastic, Katie cracks up audiences worldwide.

Named one of Time Out New York’s Queer Comics of Color to Watch, Calvin S. Cato has dazzled audiences with his quick wit and his penchant for blazers. His television appearances include Oxygen, GSN, Netflix, and an unaired pilot for Vice Media called Emergency Black Meeting. His comedy has been featured in festivals including San Francisco Sketchfest, Brooklyn Pride, Gotham Storytelling Festival, FlameCon, and the Women in Comedy Festival. In early 2021, Calvin was published in Kweendom, an anthology of essays by queer comedians and entertainers.

Madelein Smith is a touring comedian based in NYC. She has traveled internationally, performing at colleges, clubs, and cruise ships, and has opened for Judy Gold, Maria Bamford, Guy Torrey, Rachel Feinstein, and many more. She is also a regular at NYC clubs. Her debut album, Belle of the Ball, rose to #1 on the ITunes Comedy Charts. She has been featured on Amazon Prime, SiriusXM and Comedy Central, and currently has a network pilot in development. She co-hosts the podcast Cheers for Queers with Sarah Garner, where they interview amazing queer performers and talk about being little weirdos.

Jenn Wehrung started doing standup in London many moons ago and has performed on such varied stages as Carolines, The Knitting Factory, QED, Governor's Comedy Club and The Royal Hall for Cornwall. She has been seen in the NY Comedy Festival and on The Wendy Williams Show, featured on FOX News and in the NY Times, and heard on BBC Radio and the Mortified podcast. She co-hosts the drink-along podcast Bottled Up! and posts a lot of pics of her dog on Instagram.

LATE ENTRY: Entering the room mid-show is distracting. Please be respectful and arrive on time! If you arrive at a show more than 30 minutes after the scheduled showtime, you WILL NOT be admitted and will not be issued a refund. (Unless otherwise indicated, doors open 30 minutes before showtime.)

AUDIENCE ETIQUETTE: We want EVERYONE to have a good time. We encourage you to laugh a lot and interact with performers when invited to do so. During the show, please DO NOT chat with friends or shout unsolicited things at the performers. Disruptive patrons WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE and will not receive a refund.

REFUNDS: If you are unable to attend a show due to illness, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, we unfortunately do not provide refunds. (If you are unable to make it to a show and wish to gift your ticket to another person, we ask that you contact the Box Office in advance to let the m know). If you are dissatisfied after seeing a show, we do not provide ticket refunds.
